High School Classes for Academic Credit
Location: South Middle School
Dates: Thursday, July 5, 2018 - Wednesday, August 15, 2018 (no class on Wednesday, July 4th)
Times: Period 1 8:15 am – 9:50 am; Period 2 9:55 am –11:30 am
Regents Exams: Thursday, August 16, 2018 and Friday, August 17, 2018
The Summer High School program offers students entering grades 9-12 the opportunity to retake academic courses for high school creidt if they did not pass the course during the regular school year. In order to earn credit for their summer work, high school students must be present for any Regents exam that their courses require on Thursday, August 16 and/or Friday, August 17. These dates will be given to you upon registration.
For Great Neck North and South High School students, guidance counselors handle all registration. Please speak to your guidance counselor if you will need to enroll in Summer School 2018 to make up academic credit.
Private school students who are legal residents of the Great Neck Public School District are eligible to attend the High School program with the proper documentation of failure (a letter or request form) from their home school. Private school students are asked to complete the High School application and submit it with their request for summer school letter signed by their home school guidance counselor or principal.
Regents Review Courses
Eleven-day preparatory classes will be offered for each exam that we offer (see list of exams below)

Dates: Wednesday, August 1st to Wednesday, August 15th (no weekends; no class on Wednesday, July 4th)
Times: Period 1 8:15 am – 9:50 am; Period 2 9:55 am –11:30 am

* Please note: All students taking the Earth Science Regents Exam must take the Earth Science Lab Practical on Wednesday, August 15th, 2018.
